To manage a non-domestic kitchen, cook meals and prepare other refreshments for users of a centre or day nursery. The temp will normally be expected to participate in menu planning, direct other staff involved in food preparation, plan work tasks, clean food preparation & equipment and prepare simple stock orders.
Candidate Profile
1. Proven experience as a Cook in a non-domestic setting. 2. Relevant Qualification 3. Knowledge of menu planning. 4. Excellent knowledge of nutrition and food hygiene. 5. Experience of supervising others in a catering environment. 6. Able to work to a tight budget. 7. Able to plan methodically and cope with several tasks at once. 8. Basic literacy & numeracy skills.
CRB, POVA or POCA clearance will be required for this post, dependent on location.
