Bookkeeper (Maternity Cover) - Epsom, Surrey
Job Purpose To maintain an efficient and accurate accounting and payroll function, producing timely accounting and management information.
Full-Time Bookkeeper Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Processing all accounting entries in the Sage system (Line 50) in an accurate and timely manner 2. Processing the payroll on the Sage payroll system and maintaining the associated staff records 3. Integrating the Sage Payroll and Sage Accounts Systems 4. Producing month and year end reports and functions as required by senior management (such as management accounts, VAT and PAYE returns) 5. Extraction of data from Sage and manipulation in Excel to produce management reports 6. Performing the necessary reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the accounting function 7. Processing the accounts to Trial Balance Level 8. Maintaining the debtors book and necessary credit control 9. Maintaining the purchases and payments ledger 10. Controlling the petty cash 11. Overseeing the junior members of the team - ensuring that their tasks are performed as required, and providing cover in their absence 12. Overseeing of the tutor timesheets process and related payments 13. Performing office management duties 14. Performing ad hoc tasks as may be required
