£55,000 - £60,000 / Year (car, pension, subsistence, flexible)

Minimum Requirement

* Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying or relevant qualification and experience
* Extensive civil engineering project experience essential
* Experienced in commercial Change Management
* NEC contract experience

The Company

An internationally recognised, leading construction company working across the breadth of the UK's construction market and provide a comprehensive building and civil engineering service to the private and public sector.

The Project

The project is one of the UK's and Europe's largest landmark construction projects. The project is predominately being self delivered, with some specialist subcontract procurement.

The Role

You will report into the Section Quantity Surveyor, working within the Change Management Team for the project.

Working on a 200 million project, you will be part of a team responsible for managing Change and identifying Risk across all packages. You will also be involved in identifying cost, value and opportunity management.

Working as a valued member of the commercial and project team, you will be an integral part of the team ensuring the company delivers value for money, whilst maintaining the optimal margin on the project.

The Person

As the ideal candidate you will have extensive experience working on civil engineering projects and be able to demonstrate the following experience:

Degree qualified Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or similar;

Chartered or working towards chartership in the near future

NEC contract experience

Managed Change on large infrastructure projects

Risk Management experience

A driven, self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work on your own initiative;

A team player with the ability to interact with a wide variety of people at all levels;

Ability to interpret and monitor programmes against contractual period for completion dates;

Above average numeracy and literacy skills;

An understanding of contractual arrangements;

I.T. skills with particular competence in Microsoft Office Suite;
