My client, a FTSE 100 telecoms business, is seeking an accomplished BUSINESS PROCESS TRANSFORMATION ACCOUNTANT (SAP) to join them in an interim capacity. This is a great chance to join this amazing business!!

The Business Transformation Accountant sits within Finance in collaboration with the process owner network to propose, agree, develop, document and implement transformation initiatives in the specific area of Record to Report within accounting operations. Specifically this requires interaction with business stakeholders to understand and evaluate existing processes and associated key controls, identifying areas to transform process effectiveness and efficiencies and spearheading initiatives to transform the Record to Report process into a world class operation.

The role is wide-reaching and involves end-to-end ownership of all aspects of solutions delivery - including but not limited to business process and controls design, technical SAP solution design and business deployment. Outputs must be rooted in industry best practices and deliver measurable improvement in accounting operations and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

* Is responsible for driving "day to day" processes of the accounting operations organisation, including:

* Develop and evolve policies for the processes
* Detail and evolve the future state vision and design for the processes
* Ensure processes and controls are "fit for purpose" and balances business aspirations with leading practice and the standard capabilities of the chosen technology enablers
* Drive the consistent deployment of the process and controls throughout the business
* Ensure the timely and consistent measurement of process performance
* Drive improvements in process performance, efficiency and internal control

* Work on role and control design within the accounting operations work-streams to ensure the Risk and Controls frameworks are maintained or improved.
* Update all necessary business process documentation.
* Interpretation and Analysis of process improvement metrics including benchmarking and real-life application into the global ways of working.
* Work with Finance Managers to ensure sound Change Management practices are followed.

Ideal Candidate:

* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
* R2R Business process design experience, ideally globally but at least across regional finance operations
* Solid business acumen, ability to navigate complex stakeholders environments
* Strong in business process redesign, implementation, key controls and continuous improvement
* Strong in all aspects of the project design/ test/ deploy lifecycle
* Excellent stakeholder management, strong business-wide engagement, communication and training
* A 'completer-finisher' - comfortable in taking accountability for ideas from inception to delivery, in an environment that requires robust metrics to confirm success
* Functionally competent in specific SAP functionality at end-user level.
