Job Overview: Further to a successful campaign of business growth, we are working closely with one of our automotive injection moulding manufacturing partners to appoint a Skills Development Coach to join their company. Working alongside the HR Department on permanent days you will be responsible for assisting and supporting the management of the learning and development of the company’s workforce. As Skills Development Coach you will be educated to a minimum of NVQ3 (in a relevant discipline) or similar, have worked within a manufacturing environment and have previous on the job applied experience. You will be expected to ensure all training and development administration is regularly updated. Also, as Skills Development Coach you will have excellent communication skills, be able to assist line managers and trainers to solve training problems. Job Overview: Main Purpose of Role: • To assist & support in the delivery of the learning & development of the Company's workforce, through equipping staff with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out work-related tasks. • To assist with the ongoing, long-term improvement of employees' skills, enabling them to fulfil their potential within the Company. Key Competency: • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Experience of driving and delivering against targets and deadlines • Experience of implementing and delivering 'training and development' programmes • Excellent organisation and time management skills • Ability to work on own initiative • Ability to co-ordinate 'training and development' programmes • Excellent leadership and influencing skills • Effective presentation and facilitation skills Key Accountabilities which add value to the business: • To identify training and development needs through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with the Management team/ HR • To assist in the implementation and delivery of Training and Development programmes • To assist in producing training materials for in-house courses • To ensure that statutory training requirements are met • To ensure that Training and Development administration is updated regularly, for example training records • To assist line managers and trainers to solve specific training problems through one to ones or in groups • To assist in evaluating training and development programmes, and amend and revise programmes as necessary Skills, knowledge & Education required: • Computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Knowledge of philosophy, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen • Knowledge of TWI JI (Training within Industry) philosophy • Problem Solving Skills • A level /NVQ 3 • A relevant Training qualification (e.g. Certificate in Training practice or similar) • Advanced vocational application of specialised methods, techniques and processes - on the job applied experience rather than theoretical • Experience of working within a Manufacturing environment with a background in training Key Words: “Skills Development Coach”, “On-site trainer”, “training and development manager”, “training and development officer”, trainer, appraisals Note: Due to the sheer volume of applications we receive, we will only contact successful applications.
