DATS are seeking a Project Manager for a client in Manchester.
Our client is a specialist company that manufactures a product that is sold into general industry eg. Process , power ,manufacturing or construction.
The successful candidate will support and deliver vibration isolation installation projects from initial inquiry through to delivery and project close.
The product has a variety of uses for example in acoustic floating floors, acoustic pad installation, and isolated foundation installations.
This will be accomplished by supporting our clients sales team to enable them to sell projects that include installation elements.

What does the job involve?
Working closely with the sales and installation teams you will be involved in the Quotation preparation, Contract Review, Document and Drawing Management, Procurement and Installation.

What skills and experience do you need?
(Please note that candidates must have a number of these skills not all)
• Min 3 years’ experience within the last 5 years in a technical role within the construction industry
• Experience in executing JCT and NEC forms of sub-contract (with design)
• Experience with elastomers and their performance/material properties
• Experience in project planning/project management in an engineering/construction environment
• Project management (financial, technical and logistics)
• Ability to interpret construction / engineering drawings
• Measuring quantities from paper and 2d AutoCAD drawings
• Client negotiation
• Ability and willingness to travel within the UK
• Knowledge of concrete, timber and steel construction
• A high level of competence in Microsoft Excel including formulas and formatting
• Experience using project planning software (e.g. Microsoft Project)
• Good command of written and spoken English, Good communicator
• Ability to work on a number of projects / tasks concurrently
• Good planning and organisational ability with a high level of attention to detail
• Dependable, self-reliant, tactful and client facing
